To our fellow New Mexican Pilots,

Our country is currently living through unprecedented times, with tens of millions of Americans affected by the spread of COVID-19, some of whom we count as our neighbors here in the high desert.

As pilots, we are blessed with the ability to take off, dance with the clouds and see the world from an entirely awe-inspiring perspective. And while we are lucky enough to have the ability to change our worldly vantage point from inside the cockpits of our flying machines, we here at Santa Fe Aero Services and Skyland Aircraft believe we can also utilize this privilege to help those within our communities on the ground.

This is why we have partnered with The Food Depot to help provide crisis support for families in need. Now through September 30, 2020, Santa Fe Aero Services is offering annual aircraft inspections in which 25% of the labor charges will be donated, in the name of each customer, to this 501(c)(3) charity. The Food Depot will send you, the customer, a receipt for the donation which can be claimed on your annual tax return to the extent allowed by law.

The 25% labor cost from your approximately 27-34 hour inspection, should donate roughly $680 to The Food Depot, which in turn will contribute over 2,700 meals to those in need. In addition, we will make the same 25% labor charge donation for applicable follow-up work to correct any defects found during the inspection. Santa Fe Aero Services has also coordinated with Jet Center Santa Fe to offer a discount on up to 50 gallons of fuel for any out-of-towners who fly in to support The Food Depot program.

Let’s take advantage of this temporary grounding to not only benefit the safety and maintenance of our aircraft, but use it as an opportunity to provide aid to our New Mexico neighbors.

  1. Complete the request for proposal or more information form at the bottom of the page, and click SUBMIT.

  2. Santa Fe Aero Services will contact you to discuss a tentative schedule for your annual inspection and keep you informed of any issues affecting that starting date.

  3. We will create a Shop Order for the inspection.

  4. Following the inspection, we will create an invoice that can be paid by credit card, check, cash or funds transfer.

  5. Once the invoice is paid, we will create a transfer document to The food Depot, or a New Mexico Food Bank (must be an IRS approved 501(c)(3)) of your choice, in your name and in the amount of 25% of inspection labor charges. This document will contain your name, mailing address, email address, phone number and a reference to our invoice number, as well as a check number. It will be mailed to The Food Depot address and will include our check in the amount of 25% of the labor charge on the reference invoice. A copy of our transmittal to The Food Depot will be emailed to you and they will send you a receipt along with an acknowledgment of your donation.

  6. The same procedure will apply to any approved follow up maintenance as a result of the annual inspection.

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION!
